  • Torque rod mount

Torque rod mount:
A torque rod mount is an engine mount that is installed at the bottom of the car. This mount is attached to the bottom of the engine (at the level of the bottom of the oil pan and transmission) and the other side is attached to the body or the subframe. The torque rod mount ensures that the engine block does not tilt when the accelerator is pressed or released. This mount is only used in cars with a transverse engine (so with the hood open the cylinders are positioned from left to right and not from front to back).
