Spoiler:
A spoiler is intended to improve a car’s grip and road holding. The airflow around the car changes as speed increases. By using a spoiler, the downforce and thus the road holding can be improved. Spoilers can be mounted on both the front and the rear of a car.
In fact, a spoiler only makes sense at high speeds (above 120 km/h). On ordinary Dutch roads it actually has no use. Spoilers are often only mounted to improve a car’s appearance.
