The MegaSquirt Land Rover project:
Between October 2016 and May 2017, the undersigned carried out a project in which a classic engine was fitted with sensors and actuators, so that it was made fully functional by means of a computer-controlled engine management system. For this, a so-called “MegaSquirt II ECU” was used. The engine is mounted on a mobile frame and is used for educational purposes. With a laptop, the data in the freely programmable engine management system can be adjusted and with an oscilloscope the signals can be measured.
Not only the engine, but also the research and work carried out are made available for education. Therefore it was decided to publish the report in this way on my website. Those who are interested in gaining more insight into the operation of the engine management system, or those who want to carry out a similar project, can study this report. Due to its large size, the report is divided over six pages.
